Installed within the striking infinity-edge rooftop swimming pool at The Monroe Apartments in Palm Beach, this project features a 25.52mm low-iron toughened structural laminated glass pool panel supplied to achieve both exceptional performance and uncompromised visual clarity. The use of low-iron glass minimises colour distortion, allowing the water to appear crystal clear as it meets the horizon. This precision-engineered panel plays a critical structural role while delivering a dramatic visual outcome, where the pool water appears to spill effortlessly over the edge and dissolve into the ocean backdrop beyond.
The transparency of the structural glass creates a powerful architectural illusion, seamlessly merging pool and sea into a single, uninterrupted panoramic view. From the rooftop, residents experience a heightened sense of openness and luxury, with the glass panel acting as an invisible boundary that enhances the relationship between the built environment and the surrounding coastal landscape. The result is a refined, resort-style amenity that elevates the building’s architectural presence while reinforcing the premium nature of the development.
The installation was expertly executed by our sister company, PTG Commercial, whose experienced team managed the complex logistics and precise installation requirements associated with a structural glass application of this calibre. Their attention to detail and technical expertise ensured a flawless, high-quality finish, delivering a solution that meets rigorous structural demands while maintaining the clean lines and visual impact essential to a high-end rooftop infinity pool.
